In 2009, after the liberalization of the electricity market in Spain, and after several processes, bureaucracy and continuous learning, a small electricity and gas supplier called Orus Energía was founded, which represents the birth of the future Audax group. It started from scratch, with a very small structure, where invoices were printed, folded and sent by hand. Thanks to adaptation to change, commercial vision and constant effort, we managed to turn around a stagnant electrical market dominated by large traditional companies.
Little by little, Orus gained space in the market thanks to innovative policies aimed at speeding up processes and facilitating sales to commercial channels, investing in continuous training and launching new customer-oriented products. In 2011, 3-digit growth rates were achieved, which made it possible to acquire the supplier Audax and achieve exponential growth. Audax continued to improve its processes, innovating and creating new products to satisfy market needs and start expanding outside the national market.
In 2013, Audax began its internationalization by entering the Portuguese market and is currently present in 8 European countries; Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, Holland, Hungary and France are expected to continue to grow.
The history of Audax is the story of constancy, innovation and daily work to continue improving, where agility in processes and a flat structure facilitate quick decision-making to create customer-oriented products.
Today, the Audax Energetic Group is made up of more than 20 companies, 1,900 employees and has more than 365,000 customers.
With effort and a clear commitment to innovation, we have become a reference in the energy sector and José Elías, president of Audax Renewables, has won several awards that mention his entrepreneurial character: the Young Entrepreneur Award, granted by AIJEC, and the Emerging Entrepreneur, awarded by EY.
